Hello my dear crafty friends! It has been a wild and wondrous ride over the past 3 and 3/4 years! It is with gratefulness and gratitude that I bring you this fantastic last kit “Simply Sentimental”. We have very few kits available so you will not want to hesitate at all. Run, run, run to the website to get the final Flavor of the Month kit for yourself. Make sure to enter the Rafflecopter as well!

Collection 1, Sketch 1

How sweet is this puppy! I trimmed my pattern paper as shown in the sketch. I stamped the puppy with Copic friendly ink and colored with Copic Markers. I used a black gel pen to add dash lines around the outside. I used 3 sequins to to finish the card.

Collection 2, Sketch 4

I trimmed the pattern paper as shown in the sketch. (I did have trouble with that angled piece! Yikes!) I didn’t get the center of that angled pattern paper just right so I used a mini scallop circle die to cut out the sentiment I stamped onto white card stock. I added that with foam adhesive and covered that area that didn’t look quite right! I added a little of the ribbon to the top of that piece and finished the card with 3 enamel dots from the collection.

Collection 3, Sketch 4

I love the colors in this collection. I again trimmed my pattern paper as shown in the sketch. I stamped the sentiment with a bright pink ink that matched the pink polka dot paper. I used a circle die to cut that and added three of the paper flowers found in the collection.

Collection 4, Sketch 2

I thought the paper in this collection was absolutely gorgeous. I stamped the sentiment on white card stock and used distress ink to color the card stock. As usual, I trimmed all my pattern patter pieces as shown on the sketch. I finished the card by using some of the ephemera from the collection in the area that shows “flowers” in the sketch.

BONUS CARD

I did made an extra card this month using the Banana Split portion of the card kit. This included the heart embossing folder, the banner die cut and the ribbon! The sentiment is from Collection 2.

SFL – Flavor of the Month Card Kit – September 2020 Card Kit – Orchards and Patches

Fall is here! Let’s take a trip to the Apple Orchard or maybe you want to go to the Pumpkin Patch! A little story about pumpkin patches…I started scrapbooking when our first grandchild was born. And boy did I love documenting everything about his growth. When he was 3 I wanted to take him to a pumpkin patch for the sole purpose of being able to do a photo shoot there and as a result create a scrapbook page. So whether you scrapbook or make cards, make sure you enjoy the fall weather and do something fun! Our Guest and Design Team has some fabulous project to share with the September kit “Orchards and Patches.” Please visit Scrapping for Less to get your kit. Also enter the Rafflecopter on the SFL blog post for a chance to win a prize!

Card 1, Sketch 1

How sweet is this image/sentiment?? I followed the sketch as shown and used the image/sentiment from the stamp set for the circle portion of the card sketch. I colored the image with Copic Markers and added some Spectrum Noir Glitter Brush.

Card 2, Sketch 3

This gnome is so perfect for fall and I love the sentiments in this stamp set. This sketch is for a slimline card, which is longer than 6 inches so I had to use 2 different patterns, which I really like. I colored the gnome with Copic Markers and added him with foam adhesive. The sentiment is from the stamp set. I stamped with Versamark ink and used white embossing powder. I trimmed that with an oval die and added some Vintage Photo Distress Ink around the edges. I also die cut 3 leaves using one of the dies I received in my banana split pack in this kit. I also used the Vintage Photo Distress Ink on those as well. I then popped up the sentiment with foam adhesive.

Card 3, Sketch 2

The pattern paper in this collection is gorgeous! I trimmed down 3 of them as shown in the card sketch. I didn’t want my card base to be solid so I grabbed the stencil from the banana split pack and used the Sunflower image and Peeled Paint Distress Ink to add some interest to my card base. Once that was done, I added the ribbon to the card base with tape runner and then put my rectangle pieces over that. I wrapped my ribbon around, adhered it with tape runner and added a button from the collection where those 2 ends meet.

Card 4, Sketch 4

This collection has the cutest paper. This screams fall to me. Pumpkin picking, hayrides and Pumpkin Pie!  “Secret Phrase is Who doesn’t love pumpkin pie?”  I trimmed a piece of card stock to create a 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 card base. I trimmed my pattern paper as shown on the sketch and used a piece of ephemera for my sentiment.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Banana Split

Collection 1, Sketch 2

This card was a little difficult for me to get these circles spaced correctly! But once I did no crafty “ooppss” was going to have me quit on this card! I used the Pineapple stencil from the Banana Split pack to the front panel with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and then added 2 pieces of the ephemera from the collection. I used the ‘Tropical State of Mind” sentiment on some white card stock and cut that down from the lower, right corner – adding 3 enamel dots. I then grabbed the Blushing Red Nuvo Crystal drops that we received in last months kit to finish the front. On the inside I stamped Happy Birthday and the Flamingo from the stamp set and added just touches of pink to the bird.

Collection 2, Sketch 3

I love the sentiment in this set and how fun are the pattern papers! I basically followed the sketch using the fishtail sentiment die to cut the banner pieces. I used the twine from the collection and added one of the Pineapple images from the stamp set. On the inside, I added the Sentiment and 1 lemon image from the stamp set. I used a single yellow Copic to add a little color to the lemon slice.

Collection 3, Sketch 4

This Ocean scene was the perfect choice for this sketch! I loved that the papers are different watery backgrounds, they really let the colored image stand out. I added some Diamond Stickles here and there on the image to add some sparkle. On the inside, I kept it simple with just a simple “Thank You”.

Collection 4, Sketch 1

The paper in this collection are so bright and I love there isn’t much of a pattern. These papers were perfect for this sketch. I was able to trim those thin pieces and not worry about images. On the inside, I simply added a scrap piece to the bottom.

Thank You so Much for checking out my blog today.

You can find how to order on the Subscription page! And don’t forget to enter the Rafflecopter.

Card 1, Collection 1, Sketch 1

How cute are these ants! There is a lot of ephemera in this collection. The stamp set matches the paper perfectly for even more cards!

Card 2, Collection 2, Sketch 3

How fun are these Monkey Buddies!! The sentiment in this stamp set is perfect for all that’s going on right now. The pattern paper in this collection is ADORABLE!

Card 3, Collection 3, Sketch 4

This Card is my favorite. The stamp set in this collection allows you to create scenes or use images by themselves. I chose to create a fun scene! I think the frogs on the pattern paper are so much fun!

Card 4, Collection 4, Sketch 2

Collection 4 is so bright and cheerful! I colored my slide to match my papers. A lot of playgrounds have these bright, colorful play pieces. Playground equipment has come a long way since I was a child! On the inside, I added the sentiment from the stamp set and stamped the slide in London Fog Memento Ink.

SFL – Flavor of the Month – Let’s Encourage One Another – May 2020 Card Kit

Easy
Nice
Caring
Opportunity
Unite
Refreshing
Applaud
Giving
Exhilarate
Motivation
Excite
Nurture
Thoughtful

Hello Cardmakers! I hope you are doing well this morning. This month’s theme is all about encouragement. How about taking one of the words in the acronym above and making it your word for the coming month? My word is going to be motivation! Motivation to send out at least 3 cards a week to encourage someone. The design team and guest designers this month have created some absolutely fabulous designs with the card kit contents. Hop on through and take a look. One person I know who encourages people each and every day is Courtney Kreeber, she has helped design components of this month’s kit. Her group Handmade Happiness over on Facebook is all about encouraging each other. Who have you encouraged today? Check out this wonderful card kit centered around encouragement over on the Scrapping for Less website. Also check out the SFL blog post and make sure to enter the Rafflecopter.

Card 1, Collection 1, Sketch 4

Benny the Bigfoot is so sweet! I trimmed my pattern paper to follow the sketch and added my image. I stamped out the sentiment “Love Big” from the stamp set onto one of the hearts but it was with black ink. I grabbed a white gel pen and wrote out the sentiment and I liked that better. On the inside I added a strip of scrap and the image of the foot from the stamp set.

Card 2, Collection 2, Sketch 2

This card was my favorite! I stamped and colored all the images in the set. I trimmed the pattern paper to follow the sketch. Instead of putting the sentiment on as shown in the sketch, I decided to add it to the oval piece. I added one lemon and a flower to that piece. On the inside, I added another strip of scrap paper and a lemon slice.

Card 3, Collection 3, Sketch 3

This collection was so BRIGHT and CHEERFUL! I matted all the pattern paper on black card stock so the colors would pop. I stamped and colored the images with Copic Markers. The sun image is solid on the outside so I stamped that with yellow ink and filled the center using Copic Markers. I added Diamond Stickles to the cloud and some Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen to the Rainbow. On the side, I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set and 2 cloud images.

Card 4, Collection 4, Sketch 1

This collection has some great ephemera. I did color the lady bug image from the stamp set; that was my original design for the front. However, after I trimmed my pattern paper as seen on the sketch, I thought the larger lady bug ephemera pieces fit nicer. I added some enamel dots from the collection in the lower, right hand corner. On the inside, I added a strip of scrap and a small lady bug ephemera piece along with the sentiment from the stamp set.

SFL Flavor of the Month – City Streets and Country Roads – April 2020 Card Kit

City Streets and Country Roads! I am a country/small town girl at heart but oh those city streets and the hustle and bustle of a city is very exciting! Which do you prefer? This month’s theme is a little bit travel themed and a little bit hometown themed. Join the Design Team as they share inspiration for all these wonderful collections. Make sure to stop by the website and either purchase a one time kit or sign up for a subscription. Also, please enter the rafflecopter for a chance to win a prize. *Disclaimer: I know most of you are Staying Safe at home…please know this theme was planned way before all this happened.

Collection 1, Sketch 2

How fun is this paper! The stamp has both a super girl and a super boy. I chose the Super Girl and the sentiment “You’re Amazing”! I put an enamel dot on each side of the sentiment to fill in the white space. The star is an image from the stamp set; I stamped out 3 times, colored and fussy cut. I added Nuvo Glitter Drops in Yellow Bird (Not Included) to the stars.

Collection 2, Sketch 1

The paper in this collection is so pretty. I especially love the one I used as the main panel. I stamped the image from the stamp set, colored it with Copic markers and cut it out with the scan ‘n cut. I added some Spectrum Noir Glitter Brush to the scooter. I roughly followed the sketch and I loved the way this card came out!

Collection 3, Sketch 3

I love the image from this collection but I found it a little intimidating to color with Copics markers so I grabbed some color pencils (the good ol’ Crayola kind). This is the first time I have colored with color pencils. Once the image was colored I added it to the card with the sentiment. To finish this card, I added 3 enamel dots from the collection

Collection 4, Sketch 4

I changed a few things from the sketch to fit my vision. I wanted to add both characters onto one tag but they didn’t fit. I also originally wanted to use the blue fabric tag but my character didn’t fit. So, I removed the twine from the blue tag and add it to this white fabric tag. I stamped the sentiment from the sentiment onto the tag and added my character with Ranger’s Multi Medium Matte to make sure it stuck to the fabric tag. I added the tag with foam adhesive and finished the card with Spectrum Noir Glitter Brush to the cowgirl’s hat.

Scrapping for Less – Flavor of the Month Card Kit – Sending Love

December’s hop/kit is all about “Sending Love.” We all know there should be more kindness and love in this world and we have provided some super cute means to do that with this adorable kit. Our Design Team has provided some fabulous inspiration with these adorable stamps. Be sure to check out the Scrapping for Less Blog to enter the Rafflecopter for a chance to win one of these mini collections…there will be 4 prizes this month! Then, head on over to the Subscription page of the website to grab your kit…but do it fast we only have a few to sell this month.

Card 1, Collection 1, Sketch 4

How cute is this puppy? This card was fairly simple. I followed the sketch when trimming my pattern paper and stamped the cute puppy with MFT Extreme Black Ink and colored the image with Copic Markers. I used W4, W2 and W0 for his/her fur and added a light blue for his eyes and a light pink for the inside of his ears, pads on paws and nose. (Sorry, I didn’t write down the numbers). I added a red mat by cutting matching red card stock using a mini scallop oval die. I stamped out one of the sentiments from the stamp set and used a fishtail banner die to trim it down. To finish the front, I added 3 of the enamel dots.

On the inside of the card, I used Memento London Fog ink to stamp the same puppy image and used the MFT Extreme Black ink to stamp another sentiment found in the stamp set in this collection.

Card 2, Collection 2, Sketch 1

I really liked the sketch for this card; it may be one of my favorites. I trimmed down my pattern paper to follow the sketch. I added the bird image from the stamp set in the white circle because it was the best size for the area. (I thought the tree trunk would be too much for the front in that space and would require a larger circle.) I stamped the bird with MFT Extreme black ink and colored it in with Copic Markers. I then stamped one of the sentiments from the same stamp set and added the heart (also in the stamp set) to both sides. I trimmed that down then ran a pink marker over both the bird image piece and the sentiment piece. I used Copic markers to color 2 of the 3 wooden heart embellishments we receive in this collection and added them on with liquid glue.

The inside of this card was perfect for the You +Me tree stump along with another sentiment from the stamp set.

Card 3, Collection 3 (did not use a sketch)

Since I used this collection and Sketch #3 in my Sneak Peek Post (Click Here or See Below) I decided to use the stencil that comes in this collection. I first took a piece of watercolor paper and used Spun Sugar distress ink all over. Once that was done, I adhered the piece to my craft mat and taped down the stencil over the watercolor paper. I used Nuvo Embellishment Mousse in “Blue Powder” over the stencil. (I was thrilled with the result). Since I didn’t want to cover the stenciled part too much, I trimmed down a piece of pattern paper that had strips of “Love” written across. I trimmed down 2 of the stripes and added one to the outside and one to the inside. To finish this card, I added one of the paper flowers that come in this collection to the bottom left.

Card 4, Collection 4, Sketch 2

This collection had some of my favorite pattern papers! I first trimmed down the pattern paper as shown on the sketch then stamped my scene with MFT Extreme Black ink and colored with Copic Markers. I added a cloud from the Doodlebug Sprinkles Enamel Shapes stickers we receive in this collection. I added a heart to the left of the small strip of paper with the fishtail end and finished the card with more enamel dots, also from this collection.

On the inside of the card I thought it would be fun to use the letter stamp and 2 of the 3 heart stamps from the stamp set and create a border on the bottom of the panel. I then stamped out the sentiment from the stamp set in the center.

BONUS CARD – Using Banana Split Pack

This Super Clean and Simple Card came out better than I hoped. This LOVE die is a perfect size and I was able to make the heart at the end into a shaker (but it’s really too small to shake – but it’s filled with sequins, that counts, right?) I grabbed the You + Me = from the Sentiments from the Heart stamp set found in the Banana Split pack to stamp above the “Love”.

On the inside – I simply stamped the Happy Valentine’s Day stamp from the same stamp set and added the heart (that cut out from the Love die).

Sneak Peek Card – Collection 3, Sketch 3

I hope you enjoy!

Scrapping for Less – November Flavor of the Month Card Kit – Vintage Christmas

It’s all about “A Vintage Christmas” this month. I love the look and colors of vintage Christmas decorations. I hope you are inspired by the sweet little postal girl, the indented glass ornament stamp, and all of the other papers and baubles that we have added to the kit this month to give it that vintage feel. Join in on our hop and if you happened to miss where to start head back to the Scrapping for Less Blog where you can find the full lineup and also where you can enter into our Rafflecopter. If you are new to our blog and website head to the Subscription page for all the various links to purchase a 1x kit or to subscribe. New subscribers will receive a special gift this month (while supplies last) for signing up for a subscription. Enjoy the vintage inspiration from our Design Team and guest designers this month.

Card 1, Collection 1, Sketch 3

For this card I followed sketch 4 and trimmed down various pieces of pattern paper found in Collection 1. I stamped out the house image from the “Victorian Christmas” Stamp Set from Sunny Studio and colored it with Copic markers. I trimmed it down with a Mod Rectangle die and added to the card. To finish the house, I used Nuvo Crystal drops for my Christmas lights and added some Diamond Stickles to parts of my snowy roof.

For the inside, I stamped the house image with Memento London Fog ink and added snowflakes using the 2 stamps from the stamp set. I added a scrap piece of pattern paper as well to the bottom of the inside panel.

To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set onto white card stock and cut it out with a fishtail banner die; leaving room for the largest button I received in my kit. I used the red thread to decorate the button by tying a bow. I adhered the button with Multi Media glue.

Card 2, Collection 2, Sketch 1

The stamp set found in collection 2 was perfect for the square card of sketch 1. The “Christmas Post” Stamp from LDRS was stamped with a black ink so I could see my lines and then with a clear sticky ink one would use for heat embossing. I then sprinkled fine, clear embossing powder over the image and heat set it. I did this because I am using my Arteza Real Brush pens to color this image and using embossing powder helps give control over where your colors should be. I did have a color that ran, but I hid it! That’s that fun of making a mistake – you can cover it up and no one has to know!

I trimmed down some pattern paper and followed the card sketch. I added a white mat to the inside of my card and added a strip of scrap pattern paper that says Merry Christmas to the bottom.

To finish the card, I added one of the Blackboard Label found in this collection to the lower, left hand corner (where my colors ran a little) and also added a lot of sparkle with Stickles. I used the red stickles for the berries, and diamond stickles around the snow banks and the furry part of her outfit.

Card 3, Collection 3, Sketch 2

This card is probably my favorite this month. I stamped out the Santa image from the Your Next Stamp “Jolly Santa” stamp set that is found in collection 3. I colored him with Copic markers and added some sparkle with Wink of Stella clear glitter brush. I followed sketch 3 and trimmed some pattern paper then put it all together.

For the inside of the card I stamped the image using a light gray ink and then used black ink to stamp the sentiment from the stamp set just over the top of the image.

To finish the card I added a piece of ephemera to the lower, left hand corner of the image and some enamel dots to the upper, right hand corner.

Card 4, Collection 4, Sketch 4

This card was the simplest to make. I again, followed sketch 4 and trimmed out my pattern paper. I decided to use the Be Merry Sentiment from the “An Ornamental Christmas” stamp by Scrapping for Less found in this collection. I used some clear embossing powder to give this sentiment a little shine.

For the inside of the card I just added a white mat with a piece of scrap paper adhered on the bottom.

To finish this card, I just added 3 sequins from the sequin pack.

BONUS:

The card to the left I created using elements from the Banana Split portion of the card kit in combination with Collection 1.

The card to the right was my Sneak Peek from Monday.
