SFL – Flavor of the Month – It's All About the Boys

We have listened to our customers and have given you an entire kit for masculine themed cards. We all know those are difficult cards to make, so for all the men in our lives here is a whole kit dedicated to those wonderful men we need to make cards for. Head on over Scrapping for Less to either subscribe or purchase a 1x kit. Make sure you also enter our Rafflecopter as well too!

Card 1, Collection 1, Sketch 1

This card was probably the easiest to put together and so much fun; I mean, look at those gnomes. I simply cut the orange card stock to 5″ x 10″ and scored at 5″ for a 5×5 square card. I stamped out the gnome image with Copic friendly ink and colored with Copic markers. I trimmed one of the pattern papers into 4 squares and layered onto the card creating a little border all around. On the inside of the card I added 2 pieces of scraps and stamped one of the sentiments from the stamp set.

Card 2, Collection 2, Sketch 3

This buffalo image took the most amount of time to color! I wanted to add texture to the front half of the buffalo so I used a variety of brown makers and just added “dots” over the entire area. I used the “Roam Free” sentiment from the stamp set and stamped it 3 times on the flag embellishment and added them both to the card with foam adhesive. I didn’t do anything with the inside of this card.

Card 3, Collection 3, Sketch 2

This gate fold card was fairly easy to put together. I trimmed my card base to be 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″. I scored at 2 1/8″ and 6 1/4″ (or 2 1/8″ then flip over and do 2 1/8th on the other). For the band, I trimmed the card stock to 9 3/8th” inches x 1 1/2″, and score at 2 1/2″ and 6 7/8″ (or 2 1/2″ and flip over and do 2 1/2″) – this process is in my 4 Cards 1 Kit video – Link below. I then trimmed pattern paper to fill the different panels. I used the gold shimmer paper for the band and stamped out the Birthday King sentiment from the stamp set in Gold Shimmer pigment ink.

Card 4, Collection 4, Sketch 4

This card I cut my pattern paper to follow the sketch and stamped out the saw and hammer from the stamp set and colored with Copic markers. I took one of the cork stickers and cut it with a circle die for a place to add my tools. On the inside of the card I stamped the tools from the stamp set on the left of the card and stamped out the sentiment also from the stamp set.

    1. You’re welcome… They kind of overlap so if you didn’t want that, you’d probably need to trim about 1/8 of an inch off both sides. I would probably trim that after so I didn’t have to worry about where to score (LOL). Be sure to share if you make one; I’d love to see it πŸ™‚
