Where is your most favorite place in the world? Well other than Ireland (oh how I love that country…another story for another day) my favorite place would be the beach and the ocean. I love and am fascinated by anything and everything that has to do with sand and saltwater! So let’s dive deep and see if we can spot any Under the Sea babies in that wonderful blue ocean water. Dive on through the hop and SEA what our fabulous designers brought to the surface for you! Make sure you visit the Scrapping for Less website to grab your kit of “Under the Sea Babies” and you too can get lost in an ocean of cards. *Make sure to enter the Rafflecopter for a chance to win a prize!
Hello Everyone! What a fun kit this was to play with this month. This month I made 4 cards – 1 from each collection PLUS – I made a card using just the items in the Banana Split pack!
Card 1 – Collection 1- Sketch 1
Card 1 features mostly pattern paper found in this collection. There are little “scenes” found on the little corners on the pattern paper, which makes for some really quick and cute cards. One of the reasons I chose sketch 1 for this collection is because I could showcase the little turtle and the middle strip with the octopus, turtle and fish
Card 2 – Collection 2 – Sketch 3
I saw this cute octopus and decided to do some masking and make him a bunch of friends. I used several copic markers to color them in – then added some white gel highlights and a little sparkle with a glitter brush.
Card 3 – Collection 3 – Sketch 4
How cute are these otters? The shape of the otter is what made me choose to use sketch number 4. I cut down the pattern paper and used some of the mesh as a place for the otter to sit on the card. I put a lot of liquid adhesive behind the otter to hold the mesh and image.
Card 4 – Collection 4 – Sketch 2
I find this turtle to be absolutely adorable! I loved the bright colors of the pattern paper and sketch 2 was a fun way to showcase them. Since the paper was so bright, I tried to color the images just as bright!
BONUS—
The Daniel Smith watercolors were perfect to create a under the sea scene to show off this fun Octopus die and I absolutely LOVE the font with this sentiment! I used watercolor paper and water brushes to create the background. The octopus was die cut from white card stock and I used worn lipstick distress ink to color it in.

Thank You! It is an accepted term for more than one – I looked it up after I did my voice over. However, to be more accurate, I should have said Octopuses since the word Octopus is Greek and not Latin. But, I didn’t want to re-do everything 🙂 LOL! Thanks So Much for reading and commenting!
