Collection 1, Sketch 1
This card was so much fun – and the first time I made a square card. This card is a 5×5 and a perfect size for the “Christmas Bug” stamp by Stamping Bella. I wanted to choose a busy pattern for the large panel and cut down a few of the more subtle patterns for the strips. The paper is from Bo Bunny and it is called “Christmas Village”. This paper is so pretty. I used a Mini Scallop Circle Die for the large half circle from some black card stock. I used a smaller size circle die to cut the inside piece from pattern paper. I thought this combination of patterns showcased the car and tree. The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and and colored with Copic Markers. I used one of the ephemera pieces in the upper left corner on the little banner .
Collection 2, Sketch 4
This is my version of sketch 4. I stamped the solid ornament images from the “Ornaments” stamp set by Gina K Designs (designed exclusively for Scrapping for Less) with versamark ink and used Ranger Platinum embossing powder. I heat set the powder then cut the images. I used a tag die from my stash** to accommodate the size of the ornaments. I changed the scale of this sketch to fit the tag. The paper is from “Here Comes Santa” from Photoplay. A few fish tail banner pieces were cut and I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set.
*my banana split portion of the kit included 2 small tags – which are super cute but too small for these ornaments
Collection 3, Sketch 2
The pattern paper in this collection is so gorgeous. It is from the “Jolly” paper pad by Pink and Main. I wanted to showcase it all in this card. The stamp set in this collection is from Pink and Main created exclusively for Scrapping for Less. It is called “Joy to the World”. I did not use it in this card, but look for more to come with this kit because it is absolutely adorable!!
This card I cut down the pattern paper to various sizes and used one of the small tags I received from the Banana Split. I used twine from my stash to attach it as shown in the sketch. The Merry Christmas was cut from one of the Christmas Borders included in the collection. I finished the card with 3 sequins in the upper right hand corner of the card.
Collection 4, Sketch 3
This collection has more fabulous paper. I love this “Santa’s Workshop” paper by Echo Park. This card features lots of great patterns. I loved my first square card, I decided to make another. For this card, I wanted to have Santa waving over the “Merry Christmas to all” piece I cut from the pattern paper using a fishtail banner die. The Santa image is from the stamp set “Cookies for Santa” by Scrapping for Less! I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and fussy cut Santa from the chimney in order to get him to fit in this space. Santa was colored with Copic Markers.
